In the case of the shipwrecked sailors, three sailors by the names of Dudley, Stephens, and Brooks were on a oceangoing freighter in the Atlantic Ocean. All of a sudden, their was a storm in the ocean and the ship sank. All they had was their life raft. They had no food what so ever. Stephen's was the ship's doctor and he stated that they all could only live 30 days without food. Dudley and Stephens thought that since Brooks was already weak and that they thought he wasn't going to survive, they decided to kill him and eat him so that they did not die. Five days after they had killed Brooks, they were rescued by a ship that was passing by. Dudley and Stephens told the police exactly what they did to Brooks in order to survive, and then the police decided to arrest Stephens and Dudley for murder. If I was the judge of this particular case, I would punish them by giving them both prison time because they deliberately killed another human being.
