Accuplacer Computerized Placement Test (CPT) Scores

 

The new cut off scores for student placement is in alignment with the requirements for MAT093, MAT097, and MAT099. Students are now being given the Elementary Algebra test first before they are given either the Arithmetic or College Math Test based on their performance. This change was instituted to recognize that students who have been out of school for some time, typically have gaps in their knowledge. They may recall certain difficult algebra topics but have low proficiency in basic arithmetic operations which can be quickly picked up with a little practice.
