Using One Textbook
The Math Department agrees that using one textbook in all the courses and across sections is a necessity to provide a consistent experience for students and to significantly reduce cost for the students, especially those placing into MAT093.
Selected Textbook-printed (optional for students)
Bittinger,M. and J. Beecher. Developmental Mathematics, 8th ed. Pearson Addison Wesley, 2012. ISBN: 978-0-321-74817-1
MyMathLab + online textbook (required for students)
If students decide to purchase a text in the bookstore, it will come with a MyMathLab access code, or students will need to purchase the code separately in the BHCC bookstore, or online with a credit card. In both cases, the MyMathLab code comes with an online copy of the text. The cost of an access code is approximately $20 less when purchased online. If a student is borrowing a text from the TAP (Textbook Assistance Program) he/she will still need to purchase an access code.
